The next union meeting is the third Wednesday of the month, April 20, 2011, 7 p.m. at the hall. Be sure to attend, as we will have discussion on the upcoming wage allocation.

Congratulations to our newest 50 year Gold Card Life Member, Brother Nikolaus Leschinger. Congratulations are also in order for 25 year award members Brother Moses Garner and Brother Tim Pasqualone. The membership and officers of Local 5 thanks you men for your many years of service and dedication to our craft and our union.

Pre-apprenticeship applications are accepted Mondays from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 5 Union Hall, 4205 Chester Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or G.E.D. must be provided prior to filling out an application.

Please send your local monthly union dues ($21.00 per month) to the OADC Dues Processing Center, 5171 Hudson Drive, Hudson, Ohio 44236 or call 1-800-442-0479 to make checkless payments or to pay by credit card. Please do not send them to Local 5, as this may cause a delay which could result in you being dropped. Check your card now and avoid having to pay the reinstatement fee or miss out on an opportunity to work because your dues payments are in arrears.

The members and officers of Local 5 offer our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of Brother Henry Petti and Brother James Saloka (the uncle of Brother Gary Karr), both of whom passed away recently.
