The Citizen

January, 2006

This the week before the New Year and we are in a warm-up spell that we really needed. It’s been in a deep freeze since Thanksgiving. Hopefully the contractors will cover in the jobs that have been shut down during this time.

I would at this time like to thank all our members for their support and to wish everyone and their families a safe and prosperous New Year.

MEMBERS WHO HAVE PASSED

This December we lost two of our Fifty-Year gold Card Members: Brothers Wilmer F. Roach and Robert Giesel.

Brother Samuel A. Teresi also passed away. Samuel was the longest living member belonging to Local 5. Samuel joined the Union March 6th 1930 making him a remarkable 75 plus years as a Union member. I wish to extend on behalf of the Executive Board and the members of Local 5 our most heartfelt sympathies to these members’ families and friends.
