October, 2006 We are on a count down to November 2nd here in
Ohio. All of Labor is in need of getting as many of friends, family and the people down
the street to register to vote. (White and Blue Collar Voters) Around
35 % present of your money goes to taxes. Thats roughly equal to all the money you
make in January, February, March and April. With the government taking that much dough,
you might as well have some say in how its spent.
ITS CALLED VOTING. Help our For the month of September we had 50-year Gold Card members pass away. Brother Richard Schlenkermman a 59-year member, Brother John Schuehrer a 60-year member and Brother George Nemeth a 56-year member. George was a long time Forman for the JL Foti Company. Brother Robert Coadys loving wife Beverly passed. A card or call would be welcome. From the Executive Board and all the Members of Local 5 we wish to extend our most heartfelt sympathies to their family and friends.
SERVICE AWARDS For the month of October Brothers Professor L. Ashley, John Duldner and Ignatz all became 50-year Gold Card Life Members.
